First Time at the Window: An Interview with Jeroen

For many, a visit to Amsterdam's Red Light District is a unique and exciting experience. Today, we have an exclusive interview with Jeroen, a young man who recently visited a window for the first time. He shares his thoughts, feelings, and the lessons he learned from this special experience.

Q: Can you introduce yourself?

Jeroen: Of course! My name is Jeroen, I'm 25 years old, and I'm from Utrecht. I work as a software developer and I love discovering new things and having adventures.

Q: What made you decide to visit the Red Light District?

Jeroen: I had heard a lot of stories about the Red Light District, both good and bad, and I was always curious. I wanted to experience it for myself and break the stigmas and prejudices that often surround this area.

Q: How did you feel before visiting the Red Light District?

Jeroen: I was quite nervous, to be honest. The idea of visiting a window is something you don't do every day. I was also a bit afraid of the unknown, but my curiosity eventually overcame my fear.

Q: Can you walk us through your experience when you visited a window for the first time?

Jeroen: Of course. I walked around the area and looked at the different windows. It was a bit overwhelming because of all the lights and the crowd. After a while, I felt more comfortable and decided to approach a window where a lady smiled kindly at me.

I knocked on the window, and she invited me in. Inside, we had a short conversation where she asked what I wanted and we discussed the price. It felt professional and respectful. Then we proceeded with the services we had discussed.

Q: How did you feel after the experience?

Jeroen: Afterwards, I felt a mix of relief and wonder. Relief because the experience wasn't as scary as I had thought and wonder at the professionalism of the sex worker. It was an eye-opener to see how much care and attention she put into her work.

Q: What did you learn from your visit?

Jeroen: I learned that there are many misconceptions and prejudices about sex work and the Red Light District. The women who work there are professionals who take their job seriously and deserve respect. I also learned to be open to new experiences and not to judge too quickly.

Q: Do you have any tips for others who are considering visiting a window?

Jeroen: First, be respectful and treat the sex workers as you would want to be treated. Second, educate yourself beforehand about the rules and customs of the Red Light District. And finally, don't be afraid to ask questions and be clear about your boundaries and expectations.

Q: Would you do it again?

Jeroen: Maybe. It was an interesting and educational experience, and I think I would approach it with more confidence and knowledge next time.

Jeroen's experience shows that a visit to the Red Light District can be more than just a simple adventure. It can be an opportunity to broaden your horizons, break down prejudices, and learn more about yourself and others. By being open and respectful, such an experience can be enriching and valuable.

Thank you, Jeroen, for sharing your story!
